There is some confusion about this, and I realized we haven’t really spelled this out here.
WARNING: Do not read further until you have done your session – you will be front-end loaded if you do!
Once you have done your judging and Submitted your Targ CRs, go back to the main P-I-A page

Click the Admin/Predictions and Actualization/Outcomes Page link.
You will see entries for each of your outstanding predictions. Make sure you are looking at the right one – for today’s race, it’s labeled WEBN.
The Outcome letter of your prediction is in the green box.
For example, if you judged the very first photosite as the highest Targ CR, in this race you got Outcome M.
To see what horse that corresponds to, go to the PRECOG10 Horse Racing page

anc click the WEBN tab at bottom ( unless you are there already).
Column A gives the Outcomes, scroll down to see that M corresponds to the horse #13, Outclass.
In this case, you have ARVed a horse that has been scratched.
So now you want to know who your 2nd choice is – and your third choice too, since you need an Alternate selection in the DLTC contest. (So you’ll need to do this next step even if your horse hasn’t scratched.)
Go back to the Admin/Predictions and Actualization/Outcomes Page.
At the far right, you will see this string:
MBKDHIECGJAFL
This is the string of outcomes, corresponding in order the photosite numbers on the judging page:
Photosite #1, the champagne bottle, is Outcome M;
Photosite #2, the camera, is Outcome B;
Photosite #3, the wood cube, is Outcome K;
and so on.
To see what Targ CRs you gave them, look at the string of numbers in the boxes.
The first is photosite #1, 2nd photosite #2, and so on.
Suppose you gave photosite #3 your 2nd highest score. That’s Outcome K.
On the PRECOG10 Horse Racing page, Outcome K is #11 Slewzoom.
With the scratch of your #1 Targ CR, this horse is now your top pick.
Suppose your 3rd highest Targ CR is photosite #2.
That’s Outcome B, which is #2 In The Paint on the PRECOG10 Horse Racing page.
It becomes your Alt choice in the DLTC Contest.
So now all you have to do is go to the contest page

Joanie reminded me that you can see the what horse your outcome corresponds to, by just clicking the Possible Horse Race Outcomes link on the Admin/Predictions and Actualization/Outcomes Page.

You really should not concern yourself with the horses at all when you are doing a session – your focus should be on viewing the photosite you receive in email, and it sounds like that’s what you are trying to do.
Why don’t we do this: for the next race (Wednesday), let’s both of us do our sessions; then lets you and I meet in GoToMeeting and go through it step by step – I will show you how I do mine, and then you can do yours with me watching.
Is there a time Tuesday you can do this?
Hi Tom, sorry, I just got your response. My internets been down for over a week. Thanks for your willingness to go over all this with me. My internet won’t be up till Thursday, and won’t have time to meet tomorrow but I will do Tge viewings for this weekend and if I have any trouble will let you know. Thanks!
I am suspecting I am viewing the wrong horse each time. I think I’m viewing my choices of photosites instead of the winning horse. I get emotionally attached to a photo as soon as I see one that matches my sketch or AOLs. So maybe entanglement is hapening with the ones I choose in the future and the present time viewing. So Can I try just doing a viewing, submit it, and have Tom judge my photo and select a horse for me? Maybe try this a couple times?
Thanks Tom for spelling this out. But please forgive me, I’m kind of slow. I just don’t see the string of outcomes on the far right of the page. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it, so all my bets have been wrong, that’s ok, but still just can’t find that string!

Thanks for this clarification! I think I have not ever even seen the predictions and outcomes page, I was just going to the page that lists the horses names.
There are a LOT of steps to this process, aren’t there?! The good thing is that it goes fast once you’ve done it a few times.
