The Verve Group predicted a score of “Over 8 runs” in the 6/8/2013 MLB game between the San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks. An independent judge gave a confidence ranking of 2.56 to Under and 3.65 to Over. Learn about Group 1ARV at: www.1arv.com

Above are samples, three from Jon (first one displaced) and one each from the other viewers (well, actually ALL of Sonny’s because Sonny does short sessions).

Following is how Patrick McDonald described his judging challenge:

“Sketches very mixed, but the over result was MUCH harder to sketch. 🙂 You can maybe appreciate now why I had confidence – ALL the viewers viewed. 🙂

Sketch matches:

  • Amazingly, Russ managed to depict the 2 stage “slumped glass” manufacturing method used to make the Toki glass tables, albeit it displaced onto the “Under” session. First a crystal sheet of glass is water cut, and then placed over a mould. Inside a kiln, the glass and mould are very slowly heated so that the glass can be “slumped” by  pushing down onto the glass manually. After forming the whole thing is carefully cooled. The company that makes these is Femi Italia. The designers are Setsu and Shinobu Ito. Retail price about $2K.
  • Teresa – “Turin Shroud” – close, it’s folded and Italian. Your over sketch isn’t far off a piece of slumped glass.
  • Jon managed a folded sheet on the “Under coordinate”, and an interesting set of vertical peaks  with a “flat surface” on the “Over”.
  • Sonny articulated the crystal nature of the piece pretty well. “Platform for driving arcade” is a summary all on its own.

VERY tough target, but you all got different pieces the jigsaw, AND largely managed to avoid matches to the Under coordinate. There were very few of those, which made analysis very distinct and straightforward.”

  1. For seond “Russ” please read “Jon”. Which is why the first 3 sketches are labelled “Jon”. Sorry for the error. 🙂
