And Congrats to me both for ARVing the official 2nd place finisher, who crossed the wire first, and to Patsy for ARVIng the 3rd place finisher!
Well, it was an exciting race, watched by Jim, Joanie, Loraine and myself.
I will let the chart caller describe it:
CODOY was unhurried into stride, closed the gap along the inside through the second turn, got through a wide hole leaving the second turn when LUCKY CHUCK veered out, drifted out entering the stretch stacking up VOW TO WAGER, FISH, LUCKY CHUCK, PATHOKI, and KERA’S KITTEN in the process, edged clear and had his rider lose the whip with three-sixteenths to run, drifted inward under a hand ride but held a clear advantage. VOW TO WAGER was shuffled back and steadied entering the first turn, settled into stride four wide, angled in with three furlongs to run, ranged into striking distance off of the inside, was forced out and bumped with a quarter to run, angled in and came again, lacked room and bumped repeatedly with IN THE PAINT through the drive, altered course back outside after steadying off heels near the furlong marker, kept on gamely despite the rough trip and was getting to the winner late. IN THE PAINT was close up between horses early, settled off of the pace on the backstretch, came again along the inside, got through entering the stretch and loomed a danger, bumped repeatedly with VOW TO WAGER in the drive and failed to improve his position.
Disqualifications: # 3 Codoy from 1 to 2
It was one of the most roughly run races I have ever seen.
So, even though my horse finished first, he was disqualified to 2nd, and Jim’s horse is the official winner – and it is official winners that we ARV.
But that is just EXCELLENT that Jim ARVed the winner at 23-1!!!

And Jim made a KILLING on the DLTC Contest too – he bet @300 on the winner!!!
